Is the food in a dented can safe to eat? Usually, the dent occurs at the time of loading-unloading or sometimes being hit by an object unintentionally during transportation. Does it become unsafe if it gets a dent?

Sometimes it becomes impossible to understand that the denting can food is safe to eat or not. Let me tell you some denting positions that can be helpful to understand if it is safe or not:-

  • If the dent is in the seam it can be possible that the bacteria can enter the can and the food becomes unsafe.
  • If the can is not much damaged and has a small dent than canned food is safe to eat.
  • If the dent seems deep then choosing the other can is the best option. The dent itself is a major factor to avoid the food in that can.
