Please suggest me the best and easy recipe to make mutton keema.

Iam planning to make mutton keema on the special occasion of Eid. I never tried it at home. Can you suggest me the best and simple way to make it?

Hello Anchal!

Keema is minced meat. (You can get it easily from a supermarket or ask a butcher to do it for you). You can make various dishes from mutton keema like mutton pav, mutton samosa, mutton naan, mutton Paratha and much more. 

Before making mutton keema do adjust the spices according to your choice. because some people don’t like spicy food or others may like.

So let’s start making it:-

  • Heat the oil in a pan and fry cinnamon stick, bay leaf, cloves.
  • Add the finely chopped onions and green chilies and saute it with adding ginger garlic paste.
  • Now it's time to add masala powder, chili powder, mint, turmeric, and salt.
  • Once, the spices get mixed well add the minced meat(keema).
  • Add tomato puree. Mix well.
  • Cook it for another 10 minutes as keema releases its moisture and turn slightly tender.
  • Add chopped coriander leaves and mix. 
  • Serve hot mutton keema with rice, chapatti, or parantha.
