I can understand the hazard faced by every woman in the  kitchen. Especially if you have small kids you have to take some extra precautionary measure to avoid any inconvenience like:-

1. Keep knives far from the reach of children.
2. Never leave your kid alone in the kitchen. Bolt the door if possible.
3. You too make sure to turn the cooking handles of pot inwards. Your safety is also very important.
4. Don’t stir close to your body. Always stir away from it.
5. Turn off all the kitchen appliances once the work is done to avoid any shock.
6. Store heavy things on low shelves.
7. If you put something on gas to boil. Be extra sure always that kids won't even walk from there.
8. Otherwise, last but not the least..Make them sleep or get them busy with some toys or anything and then walk into the kitchen..
