I just want to enquire if in any case, fire catches in the kitchen oven, microwave or in cooking pan. What can I do to put out kitchen fire?

Hello Yasmeen!

By following some of the below-mentioned tips you can minimize the risk of fire in the kitchen:-

  • Unplug all the electrical appliances after use.
  • You can install a smoke detector in the kitchen.
  • Do not overfill grease in pots and pan in the kitchen.
  • Keep potholders, paper towels away from the stove.
  • If you have a fire in the oven/ microwave, don’t open the door. The lack of oxygen will suffocate the flame.
  • Throw a lot of baking soda or salt on the fire. Do not use flour to cover the flames. It can explode and make the worse.
