Suggest me some tips to check the consistency of batter while making dal vada

I like cooking sometimes. Usually don't get more time to cook. Last Sunday, I prepared Dal vada which is made up of Bengal gram by adding some other Indian spices. It can be used as a starter. Can you give me some tips to check the consistency of the batter while making dal vada

Let discuss some of the major tips to check the consistency of vada batter:-

The consistency of the batter of vada should be thick.

After grinding the batter, start preparing vada immediately. Do not leave it to ferment.

Do not soak urad dal overnight. 2-3 hours of soaking is enough.

To check if the batter is perfectly made or not, put some drops of batter in a glass of water. If the batter starts floating, it means the consistency of the batter is perfect.
