Wash, peel, and shred the carrots.

Take a bowl and add 2 teaspoons of butter/vegetable oil.

Mix all the grated carrots well.

Add milk and mix well.

Cook until the milk evaporates.

Add sugar and stir till it melts.

When all the moisture evaporated add a teaspoon of ghee and stir well.

Garnish carrot halwa with nuts and raisins.

Serve warm or chilled.
