I want to know about the reason of adding herbs in daily food...

Do herbs only add color or flavor or is there any other reason to add them in food. How long it can be kept?

I also want to know If you want to make a decoction in winter which herbs benefits the most.

Hi Sumit

Herbs and spices not only give color or flavor to our daily food but it has so many anti-bacterial,anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties which boost our metabolism and prevent us from many heart diseases as well.

 If you want to have decoction in winter,the best one you can have by adding:-

3-4 Basil leaf (tulip patta), 1 Cinnamon stick, 2-4 pieces Blackpepper (kali mirch), half tablespoon of carom seed in a glass of water.

Boil it till the water reduce to half.

Add sugar to taste and sip it.

In winters, it should be sipped in alternate days. It keeps your body warm and prevent you from cough and cold.
