After the advent of nonstick utensils, you will see several non-stick pans in the kitchen. After 3-5 years of warranty, the coating gets fade away. I just want to ask is it safe to cook with a fade coating?

Hello Nidhi,

The non-stick coating is made of Teflon. The best part of using non-stick is it washed easily and cook fast. The coating is quite durable but still, if it fades we would not suggest using it for safer side.

Besides, you can keep good care by following the below-mentioned tips and tricks.

  • To stir the food use wooden spoons. Avoid the use of steel spoons or ladle for stacking the pan.
  • Use seasoning for long-lasting your pans. Seasoning is a simple process that can be done easily at home.
  • Use a very thin oil coating on the surface of your pan(vegetable oil). Place a baking sheet or foil paper underneath the pan so that the oil doesn’t spread every where. Let the pan stay in the oven for approx an hour.
  • Repeat the process once in every 6 months.

This way you can keep good care of your non stick coating pans
