Vegetable Daliya or cracked wheat is a very popular recipe made in breakfast. Wheat Daliya is very rich in fibre and is easy to digest. It keeps stomach healthy and efficiently working. Vegetable daliya contains various vegetables like cauliflower, carrots, peas, tomatoes and french beans, which all help us in keeping our mind and body robust. All the vegetables together with spices make it more delighful. It is full of vitamins, carbohydrates, proteins, minerals and iron. For herbivores cauliflower is a very rich source of proteins.Vegetable daliya is considered as a blessing for aged people as their digestion power is low, daliya provide just the right amount of nutrients and energy that also being not vey hard on our stomach and guts. One can add a piquant touch to it by drizzling some lime juice and making it more appealing.

Preparation Steps for
Vegetable Daliya (Cracked Wheat) Recipe
|
-
Wash all the vegetables. Cut cauliflower, french beans and carrots into small pieces.

Boil all the vegetables (cauliflower, french beans, carrots and peas).

After boiling them, roast these vegetables in little butter (1/2 tbsp) for 2-3 minutes. Keep them aside.

Roast daliya (cracked wheat) in remaining butter till it turns pink.

Now add 500 ml water and pressure cook daliya (cracked wheat) for 20 minutes.

Now turn off the flame and let the pressure release.

When the pressure has released remove the lid and add roasted vegetables.

Cook daliya in pressure cooker without lid. Sprinkle salt and black pepper. When it has cooked properly take out daliya in a dish.

Cut tomatoes in long pieces or in rings and use them for decorating the daliya. Squeeze lemon if required and serve hot.

One can also use grated paneer or paneer cubes for decoration.
