Tuna is one kind of fish which is healthy, elongated, and sleek. The sandwich made by using Tuna fish and bread called “Tuna fish sandwich”. American people are crazier for this Sandwich. Generally they like to have this sandwich in lunch time but it’s not compulsion you can also have it before your dinner. In between the slice of two breads, different filling can be served. There are countless variation of tuna sandwich exist. You can use fresh as well as canned tuna fish for this sandwich. Before using canned tuna fish in sandwich you need to drain excess water or oil properly. Tuna is generally mix with lettuce, chopped celery, tomato slice, olives, cucumber, mayonnaise, and boiled egg. Tuna is full of protein and Omega 3 fatty acid. People like this sandwich more not only because it is very easy to make but also the ingredients used in this, are easily available in market. You can do some changes in selection of breads for example brown bread, white bread and Whole-wheat bread.
Ingredients for Tuna Fish Salad Sandwich Recipe
  1. Tuna fish - 1 can
  2. Cottage cheese - 1/3 cup
  3. Mayonnaise - 2 Tbsp
  4. Finely chopped onion - 1/4 tsp
  5. Finely chopped celery stalk - 1
  6. Capers - 1 Tbsp
  7. Lime juice - 1/4 tsp
  8. Fresh minced parsley - 1 Tbsp
  9. Dijon mustard - 1 tsp
  10. Oil - 1 tsp
  11. Salt - 1/4 tsp

Preparation Steps for Tuna Fish Salad Sandwich Recipe
  1. Remove the tuna fish out of can and put it in bowl.
  2. Take one bowl and add oil in it, crush the tuna fish with the help of fork and add salt in it. Put it aside at least for 5 minutes for tuna fish to absorb the salt.
  3. Add finely chopped onion, celery stalk, capers, dijon mustard, lime juice, minced parsley, cottage cheese and mayonnaise in it. Mix them well.
  4. Split the breads and put this mixture in between.
  5. Your yummy tuna sandwich is ready to serve.
 

Additional Tips:

  1. You can also add additional ingredients for making a tuna sandwich and many of these are meant to add little nuggets of flavor to contrast with the tuna itself.
  2. You can also stuff different salad like tomato, lettuce, olive, and zucchini.
