Toovar Dal

Turmeric Powder

Ginger

1 tsp, chopped

Cumin Seeds

Tomatoes

1 cup, chopped

Chilli Powder

1 tsp

Coriander Leaves

3 tsp, chopped

Salt

Preparation Steps for
Dal Fry Recipe

Take the dal in a large pan and wash it well until the water is clear. Make sure to pick and remove any stones from it before wash.

After wash, soak it in 3 cups of water for 30 minutes.

Now in the same water, pressure-cook the dal until it is fully cooked.

Now, take the oil in a frying pan and heat it.
-
When the oil is hot, add the chopped ginger, chopped garlic, chopped onion, chopped green chillies and cumin seeds to it.

Fry it on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes. Keep the mixtures stirring periodically.

Now, add the chopped tomatoes, chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt to it.

Fry this again on a high flame for about 3 minutes.

After frying for 3 about minutes pour this mixture into the cooked dal and mix it thoroughly and your dal fry is ready now.

Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and server hot.
