Indian apple jam recipe makes a yummy side dish which can be best served with breads etc. This apple jam is not prepared with brown sugar as we do with caramel apple jam. Ingredients for Apple Jam Recipe
  1. Cooking apples - 1 kg
  2. Sugar - 750 gms
  3. Water - 2 cups
  4. Lemon juice - 2 tsp or ½ tsp of citric acid

Preparation Steps for Apple Jam Recipe
  1. Sterilize jars and lids in boiling water for at least 10 minutes. Let simmer while making jam.
  2. Peel the apples and slice them in medium sized cubes
  3. Take the sliced apple cubes in a cooking pan and cook in water until they are tender.
  4. When the apples are tender, add sugar and lemon juice (or citric acid) and stir on a hot fire until the jam sets.
  5. Pour the hot jam into hot sterilized jars quickly, leaving 1cm at top. Top tightly with cap and process the jar for 10 minutes in a boiling water to seal.
  6. Your yummy apple jam is ready, serve after one day.
