Aam panna is an Indian drink renowned for its heat resistant properties. Aam panna is prepared from green mangoes. It is not only a tasty drink but a healthy beverage too which helps to fight against the intense Indian summer heat. Green Mangoes are rich sources of pectin. Ingredients for
Aam panna

Raw mango
-
500 grms

Cumin seeds (zeera) powder
-
1 tsp
-
Black salt (kala namak)
-
to taste
-
Suger
-
to taste
-
Chopped mint leaves ( pudina)

2 tbsp

Preparation Steps for
Aam panna
|

Wash the raw mangoes properly and peel them. Now cut the peeled mangoes in to pieces.

Boil these mango pieces for 5 to 6 minutes.

When the mango pieces are soft and cooked, take them out of flame and drain off the water. Keep aside and let the mango pieces cool.

When mango pieces are cool enough to mash, mash them and strain the pulp.

Add the cumin powder, salt, sugar, 4 glass chilled water into the mashed mangoes and stir well.

Now add some mint (pudina) and whisk properly.

Your taste, refreshing and cool aam panna is ready, stir well and serve into the tall glasses.
